Equa is an organisation certified according to the standard UNI EN ISO 9001.

Equa has earned the Ethics Certification SA 8000. The certification guarantees transparent relationships between Company, workers and trade unions, checks the ethics of the suppliers, improves relations with the institutions and, overall, becomes an extra tool for winning bids.

SA 8000 is voluntary standard recognised internationally, the objective of which is to measure, through a verification conducted by a Certifying Body (in our case IQNET Ltd.) the level of ethics and social responsibility of a company. Through the SA 8000 certification, the company demonstrates its commitment to pursuing practices, procedures and policies which guarantee behaviour that is not harmful to the personal dignity to all the Stakeholders of reference (the employees, the Company, the Institutions, the Suppliers, Chamber of Commerce, Confindustria).

Equa is accredited as Type A Inspection Body according to the standard UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17020 Ed. 2012 for the following sectors:

Industrial products (on customer specifications):

  • Manufacture, control and supervision at the testing of the products, industrial components and welded structures;
  • Heat exchanger, boiler and new pressure containers and those in operation;
  • Casts for melting
  • New rotary machines and those in operation;
  • Valves;
  • Metal and non-metal materials.

Industrial processes (on customer specifications):

  • Welding processes;
  • Non-destructive tests.

Equa has earned the IFIA registration (International Federation of Inspection Agencies) as associate member, necessary to conduct Pre-Shipment Inspection activities.
